The introduction of a Europe-wide energy management system according to DIN ISO 50001 guarantees continuous improvements in energy efficiency as well as systematic improvement of energy flows.
Novoplast employs a management process for identifying and evaluating potential savings. This leads to an increase in plant efficiencies and reduced rejection rates, which in total leads to a reduction in energy consumption and, as a result, to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
Evaluation/selection of energy suppliers, means of production and supplies is performed on an ecological and economic basis.
Plastic packaging constitutes an important component in effective and sustainable storage and provision of food and other products. We rely on our own well-known design concepts during development and production of plastic packaging. Raw materials are handled carefully to ensure IK - Association certification for "zero - granulate loss", which allows us to make an important contribution to the protection of both the environment and watercourses.
Polymers represent very valuable raw materials, which must be used efficiently during processing and losses must be kept to a minimum.
Any loss of material or waste is collected and sent for recycling or re-use. The same applies to other materials, e.g. cardboard boxes, wooden pallets, shrink-wrap films and household waste. These are collected, separated and recycled appropriately.
